At times I take big steps,
but I often take small baby steps..
Always was taught that best steps have to be well-shod,
but I mostly prefer taking barefooted steps…
Occasionally I take backward steps down memory lane,
but mainly I take steps forward towards a brighter day…
Never fearing what awaits me ahead,
As long as both feet aren’t dipped deep in the water,
causing me to be forever immobilised.

Step By Step my hopes and aspirations grow,
although the path to my Homeland remains to be unknown..
And every painful story of the suffering of it’s people continues to be untold..
One thousand and one steps,
full of love and determination will take me home.

Towards my Eternal destination that I intend to make…
With dreams of Justice and Tolerance for this world I shall continue to take…
